A native of Atlanta, Pastor Scott committed his life to Christ at the age of 7 and answered his call to ministry at age 25.
Prior to Unique Church, where he is currently the pastor, he served at a variety of churches in Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina.
In 2017, he married the love of his life, Lauren. Joshua and Lauren Scott have two Boxer puppies, Dawn and Grace.

Dr. Joshua Scott started Unique Church in December 2024 in response to God calling him to create a place where the uniqueness of all people will be celebrated.

Through his ministry at the church, Dr. J is passionate about racial reconciliation and local community partnership. He is a board member for MeckMIN, a nonprofit based in Charlotte, and also serves as a board member for the McAfee School of Theology.
